About the name: 596 Lenox Ave was the site of the famous Savoy Ballroom in Harlem, NY, where Lindy Hop was born in the 30s and 40s. We are passionate about bringing the spirit and joy of this African-American vernacular dance to our students, serving as a positive influence in both Berlin and the International swing Community, and passing on the legacy of the great Lindy Hop Ambassador, Frankie Manning.
